Mrs. Shaila Tiwari, Member, MPVHA Governing Board

Mrs. Shaila Tiwari is associated with Anupama Education Society, Satna. Women empowerment, skill development for livelihood, safe motherhood, adolescent health, PCPNDT, family counselling, advocacy have remained main focussed area of her intervention. She implemented several health and social programmes, mainly in Satna and Rewa districts, like – ‘Jaag Sakhi’, ‘We Can Campaign’, ‘Meri Life Meri Choice’, Target Intervention (HIV/AIDS), Safe Motherhood, ‘Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya’, DPIP, ‘Tejaswini’ Rural Empowerment, Women SHGs, Participatory Learning and Action, etc. Anupama Education Society has established Family Counselling Centre for women victimized through violence; and Care and Support Centre for HIV/AIDS effected families. Mrs. Tiwari is a Chairperson of District Child Welfare Society and also of Core Group on ‘Lado Abhiyan’. She is member of several district level committees like PCPNDT, Human Rights Protection, Vigilance, Child Protection, etc. Mrs. Shaila Tiwari was awarded ‘Savitri Bai Fule Gyanshalaka National Award in 2014 and President Award for Excellence Work on Child Welfare in 1999. Her educational qualifications are M.Ed., M.A. (English Lit.), L.L.B., PGDSW, DBM and B.Sc. (Micribiology). Inox International University, Satara, Maharashtra conferred her Honorary Doctorate degree.
