We are working in the following areas

Nutrition

Despite the sincere efforts of the Government and NGOs iron deficiency and anaemia continue to pose major public health challenges among India’s vulnerable populations. MPVHA is putting continuous efforts to reduce the anaemia in the state.

Child Health

Diarrhoeal disease Control and Immnization are two major components needs special effort for child health and reduce under 5 child mortality and morbidity in India. It mostly results from contaminated food & water sources and non completion of Full immunization course (FIC). MPVHA committed to promote primary health care with special emphasis on women and children.

Women & Adolescent

Mainly society is male dominated resulting in all kinds of discriminatory practices, female foeticide, infanticide, unbearable dowry torture, atrocities etc. These all can be dealt by various measures ranging from awareness, education, monitoring, empowerment and enforcement of laws.

Community Health

Communitization is a positive process which ensures active involvement of community in planning, management, implementation and monitoring of public health initiatives (NHM) and their stake in decision making.

Non-communicable Diseases

MPVHA is committed to protect people of Madhya Pradesh from menace of ill effect of tobacco use. It is also making effort for Cancer awareness, early detection and referrals. The efforts made are visible in the state. The Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS-II 2016-17) speaks that in Madhya Pradesh there was a decline of 5.3 percent points in overall tobacco consumption i.e. from 39.5% (in 2008-09) to 34.2% (in 2016-17).

Communicable Diseases

Tuberculosis (TB) is a major communicable disease in developing countries like India. TB affects mainly the productive age group, which has deleterious effect on the whole economy of the country.

Eye Care

India has witnessed a demographic transformation over the past 70 years with increase in life expectancy and improved survival rates. This has a significant impact on current and future eye care challenges as more than 80% of blindness and visual impairment is age related.

Research & Studies

Madhya Pradesh Voluntary Health Association (MPVHA) conducted various Small Studies on various issues related to Public Health for need based planning and to see the achievement of the interventions.
